About Us
Learn about the Parent Council and how you can get involved in your child's education.
What is the Parent Council?
The Parent Council is a group of parents and carers who work with the school to support learning and school improvement. The Parent Council represents all parents and carers of children at Blackfriars Primary School.
The Parent Council acts as a link between parents, the school, and the local authority. It organises events and activities, and raises funds to support the school.
Meetings are open to all parents and carers. You do not need to be a member to attend. Come along and have your say.
What is the Parent Forum?
The Parent Forum is every parent and carer of a child at the school. You are automatically a member of the Parent Forum.
The Parent Forum selects the Parent Council to represent them. Every parent and carer has the right to attend Parent Council meetings and share their views.
Who Can Be Members?
Any parent or carer of a child at Blackfriars Primary School can be a member of the Parent Council. Staff members and members of the local community can also be co-opted members.
Membership is free and open to all. The more people involved, the more we can do for our children and our school.
